This is an opportunity to step into a senior position, advising on major development and regeneration projects. The team is widely recognised for its work across the construction sector and for its expertise in navigating the evolving Building Safety regime.
The Role
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating construction documents (JCT, NEC, professional appointments, collateral warranties, bonds and guarantees).
- Advising on procurement strategy, risk allocation, insurance issues, design responsibility and project structure.
- Working closely with developers, funders, contractors, consultants and public sector bodies.
- Managing matters independently while receiving strong support from experienced colleagues.
- Contributing to client training, thought leadership and wider business development initiatives.
- Assisting in mentoring junior team members as the practice continues to expand.
About You
- 4+ years’ PQE (or equivalent experience) within a recognised law firm, focused on non contentious matters.
- Solid experience of JCT and/or NEC suites and confidence advising on construction procurement and project processes.
- A proactive, collaborative approach and confidence dealing directly with clients.
- An interest in the housing, development or infrastructure sectors is beneficial but not essential.
