About us: The Central Criminal Court has been London’s principal criminal court for centuries, known for its historic trials and prominent legal figures.
The role: We are seeking a Security Officer to work 35 hours per week (flexibly) within the CCC precinct, including public galleries. The principal duties are:
- Ensure the safety of Court users and staff
- Monitor CCTV and assess visual activity
- Screen facility users using X‑ray machines and handheld metal detectors
- Respond to incidents and coordinate with emergency services as required
- Maintain accurate logs and report observations to supervisory staff
About you: Candidate requirements:
- Flexible and adaptable in a high‑volume, high‑volatility environment
- Proven experience in customer service with a track record of high standards
- Customer Service, Social Care or Security NVQ, or recognized equivalent
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Ability to undertake delegated tasks effectively in emergency situations
Desirable: SIA Door Supervisor licence; willingness to obtain within first 6 months
Voluntary overtime opportunities are available and paid at an enhanced rate.
