Salary & Working Hours:
- Salary: £27,010 per annum
- Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 35 hours, 7:30 am – 3:30 pm including a 60‑minute lunch break.
Employment Terms:
- Basis: Full‑Time, Fixed‑Term Contract (24 months)
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will undertake a varied workload, including a full range of Arboricultural tasks, across Hampstead Heath, Highgate Woods and Queens Park. The role requires learning to climb and maintain trees using basic Arboricultural tools and equipment, and assisting in the maintenance of trees in accordance with good Arboricultural practice. The apprentice will also aim to achieve the Level 2 Arborist qualification.
Qualifications:
- 16 or over by the end of the summer holidays
- Not in full‑time education at the time of applying
- Non‑UK citizens must have permission from the UK government to live in the UK (not for educational purposes) and have been ordinarily resident in the UK for at least the previous three years before the start of the apprenticeship.
- Evidence of English and Maths GCSE grade C/4 or equivalent.

Successful selection is based on suitability, commitment to the apprenticeship, and not solely on qualification.
