To learn how to provide administrative support to a team, and to apply the skills learnt in a busy office environment within an educational setting. The post-holder will work towards a Level 3 in Business Administrator Standard and be trained to provide professional administrative support within the Funding and Compliance team. The post-holder will learn to operate proactively and independently and to exercise a high degree of efficiency and attention to detail in dealing with multiple complex tasks. The post-holder will manually input data on to college systems with a high level of accuracy and in a timely way and to support other teams to ensure college compliance with funding rules.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver a range of administrative and customer services tasks which will include manually inputting data documents to required deadlines and standards.
  • Provide support with administrative tasks across the team including supporting Partners, Apprenticeships and ILR functions.
  • Provide support with compliance checking documentation to the required deadlines and standards.
  • Respond to queries that relate to the area of work, refer requests for information as appropriate.
  • Ensure high levels of customer service within their work area or function promoting a positive image of the department.
  • Assist with data validation to include rectifying input errors and ILR errors.
  • Comply with audit and funding requirements within own area of work.
  • Provide support for cross college activities such as enrolments and exam invigilating.
  • Support with the enrolment input for Apprenticeships, Partners and Employability.
  • Support with Course Offering and website set up within the system.

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • High level of interpersonal skills and acts with integrity and ethics.
  • Ability to use own initiative and be self-motivated.
  • Ability to deliver accurate data entry with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Good computer literacy and general IT skills.
  • Good team working skills.

Desirable Criteria

  • Achievement of 5 GCSEs Grade A-C or equivalent.
  • Ability to work effectively with people across a wide range of levels and responsibilities.
  • Experience of working with customers or working in a team.
  • Previous office or administrative experience.
