The predicted salary is between 49000 - 52000 £ per year.
We are currently looking for tutors within our Employability Team to support in a variety of situations, from class facing Employability Classes, Teams sessions and delivering Level 2 qualifications across college sites to learners on Pre-Access and Access courses for additionality in a range of vocational areas, from Health & Social Care, Pre-Nursing, IT & Digital, Business, Digital etc.
You will deliver engaging and effective training sessions to groups both face to face and via distance learning. You will also compile and assess all learner work including using an online platform and contribute towards ensuring excellent attendance and retention of learners. This role also has a responsibility to safeguard the welfare of students, prevent radicalisation and promote British Values.
Key Responsibilities- To deliver engaging, effective and innovative group training sessions both in centre and online.
- To ensure that all students' work skills are developed and that they are ready for working life by the time they complete their course.
- To work closely with the Head of School for Employability & Professional Development and others to enhance the learning experience and improve progression.
- To deliver training that meets the criteria and standards for all awarding bodies.
- To conduct and use Initial Assessments/Skills Scans effectively and set students appropriate, but challenging targets and goals.
- To assess and map units for any portfolio and present for Internal Verification in readiness for External Verification.
- Ensure that students' attendance and retention targets are met, with absences robustly followed up.
- All staff are expected to create effective and stimulating learning opportunities for all students through high quality teaching, learning and assessment.
- As a bank worker you would be expected to be aware of national developments in the subject areas you would be supporting.
- You will contribute to achieving excellence in teaching and lessons through innovative and excellent practice.

- Enthusing students by making the subject content relevant and current with a strong link to employers and the local economy, develop resources to support your teaching.
- You will be required to monitor each student’s academic performance and provide feedback for improvements, supervise, and motivate students to achieve their vocational and personal goals.
- To contribute fully to the mission and values statement of the College Group ensuring its effective implementation in all aspects of college life.
- To take proactive responsibility for Health & Safety to ensure that a safe working environment and safe working practices are always maintained.

- To support cross college activities as required during key enrolment and invigilation periods.
