Are you a fashion designer with industry experience and a passion for developing emerging talent? The School of Creative Arts and Fashion at The City of Liverpool College is seeking a dedicated Fashion Design Lecturer to join our bank staffing pool.

As a Fashion Design Lecturer, you will bring expertise in garment design, pattern cutting, fashion illustration, trend forecasting, textiles, and garment construction. You will inspire students to develop their creative identity whilst equipping them with the technical and professional skills required within the fashion industry.

Your responsibilities will include delivering engaging practical and theoretical lessons, assessing student work, monitoring progress, and supporting students to achieve their creative ambitions.

Our Fashion provision spans Level 1 to Level 3 and benefits from specialist fashion studios, industrial sewing equipment, digital technologies, and industry engagement opportunities. We are committed to providing an innovative curriculum which reflects current industry practice and supports progression into higher education, apprenticeships, and employment.

Key Responsibilities

As an approved Bank Lecturer with The City of Liverpool College, there may be a range of teaching opportunities available throughout the academic year. These can vary from occasional or infrequent teaching hours to regular weekly commitments, including substantial teaching allocations across one or more days per week. In some instances, bank appointments may also lead to fixed-term opportunities for the duration of an academic year or progression into more permanent teaching roles, subject to curriculum need, student enrolment numbers, and performance.

Bank appointments are designed to provide flexibility for both the College and applicants, enabling us to respond effectively to fluctuations in student recruitment and curriculum demand whilst providing opportunities for experienced industry professionals and educators to join our teaching community.

If you wish to apply for this role, please submit an application with supporting information detailing your professional industry experience, specialist knowledge, and any previous teaching, training, coaching, or mentoring experience.
