Workdays & Hours: Varies - Ability to work a nontraditional schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. This is a seasonal part-time position with no benefits.

Multiple Pool Attendant positions are available with the City of Fort Worth Park & Recreation Department, Aquatics Division at Forest Park and Marine Park aquatics centers. Pool Attendants will be responsible for ensuring the safety, cleanliness and overall assistance of facility guests at pool centers with customer service.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be 16 or older by May 1, 2026
  • No experience required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Cash handling or retail sales experience
  • Janitorial experience
  • Previous experience in customer service

The Pool Attendant job responsibilities include:

  • Greets patrons, enforces facility rules, resolves conflicts, and promotes positive customer relations with all pool guests
  • Provides courteous, efficient, and professional customer service at all times
  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail and effective verbal communication skills
  • Controls patron access to the facility in accordance with established policies
  • Maintains facility security, including conducting bag checks for prohibited items
  • Operates and maintains cash registers and point-of-sale systems accurately
  • Cleans and maintains buildings, restrooms, concession areas, and pool surroundings to ensure a clean and sanitary environment
  • Assists with special events, rentals, swim meets, and other aquatic programs
  • Performs other related duties as required
  • Adheres to assigned work schedule as outlined in the Department and City attendance policies and procedures; ensures all behaviors comply with the City's Personnel Rules and Regulations

Working Conditions and Physical Demand:

Depending on assignment, positions in this class typically require touching, talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, walking, repetitive motions, climbing, balancing, pushing, pulling and lifting. Medium work – Depending on assignment, positions in this class typically exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly having to move objects.
