Salary: £34,452 – £40,501
Hours: 36 per week. Each shift runs 07:30 to 15:45 Monday to Thursday and 07:30 to 12:30 Friday, with an unpaid 30‑minute break.
Responsibilities:- Organise, manage and lead a team of Skilled Roadworkers, Specialists, Semi‑Skilled and Trainee Roadworkers, including subcontractors and agency staff.
- Ensure road, footway and other works meet the highest maintenance standards.
- Plan and oversee construction and maintenance services for roads and footways.
- Respond effectively to a wide range of emergency situations, including winter gritting operations.
- Undertake a variety of skilled road works tasks and provide on‑site training and development for trainee team members.
- Vast experience working in a roads environment.
- Full UK driving licence is essential.
- Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills.
- Willingness to work occasional overtime, including winter maintenance.
