An exciting opportunity for a Household Support Team Leader to join the Household Support and Advice service area, contributing to prevention and early intervention approaches to address poverty, homelessness, antisocial behaviour and community safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of Household Support Workers, developing, delivering and improving integrated services to individuals and households.
- Support the team in providing holistic supports, including Housing Support, Family Support and Mediation.
- Promote a restorative approach to neighbour disputes, social inclusion and community involvement.
- Ensure effective change management, organisational planning and communication with a broad range of individuals and groups.
- Encourage and challenge staff to empower them to reach their potential.
Qualifications | Professional Registration
- Registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) as a Housing Support Supervisor.
- Qualified to SVQ level 4 (SCQF 8) in a relevant field or equivalent, or willingness to work towards the qualification.
- Knowledge of the relevant National Care Standards or Scottish Antisocial Behaviour legislation, or willingness to gain the relevant knowledge.
- Commitment to ongoing learning and development.
Pre‑Employment Checks
This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Individuals who have spent a continuous period of three months or more out of the UK in the last five years will need to provide an Overseas Criminal Record Check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement will be subject to satisfactory outcome of these checks.
