Overview: This is a fixed term position until 26/06/2026 at Holy Rood RC High School. Salary: £33,594 - £50,589. Hours: 35 per week. This post is a maternity cover.

The successful candidate will teach across the Broad General Education (BGE) phase, delivering engaging and high-quality Maths lessons to pupils in S1 to S3. This post is suitable for interested Secondary Maths Teachers and Primary Teachers with experience of Teaching Maths / Numeracy across BGE levels of CfE. You will be well supported by a collaborative and forward-thinking department committed to ensuring success in learning for all.

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. An Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required for individuals who have spent a continuous period of 3 months or more outside the UK in the last 5 years. An unconditional offer of employment will be subject to satisfactory outcome of both these pre-employment checks.

Salaries will be in accordance with the Scheme of Salaries and Conditions of Service for Teaching Staff in School Education.   • Deliver engaging and high-quality Maths lessons to pupils in S1–S3 across the Broad General Education (BGE) phase.
  • Work collaboratively with the Mathematics team to support learning and attainment for all pupils.
  • Contribute to department planning and improvement, aligning with school aims and CfE guidelines.

  • Qualified Maths teacher. Suitable for Secondary Maths Teachers and Primary Teachers with experience of Teaching Maths / Numeracy across BGE levels of CfE.
