Teacher of English (Part-Time, Permanent) – Leith Academy

Salary: ÂŁ35,022 - ÂŁ52,740 (pro-rata for part-time). Hours: 22.89 per week. The role covers English, ESOL and Media, offering courses at National 4, 5, Higher and Advanced Higher.

We are looking for suitably qualified teachers who have the enthusiasm, skills, and creativity to deliver “Success in Learning for All” to our diverse young people, and who will play an effective role in our committed department.

Regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required for those who have spent continuous 3 months or more outside the UK in the last 5 years. An unconditional offer will be subject to satisfactory outcome of these checks.

Salaries will be in accordance with the Scheme of Salaries and Conditions of Service for Teaching Staff in School Education.
