About the School: Liberton High School is a non‑denominational secondary school with approximately 900 pupils, working in partnership with our associated primaries of Craigour Park, Gilmerton, Liberton and Prestonfield to serve our local community in South East Edinburgh. We have a rising roll projected to peak at approximately 1,100 within the next four years and are moving into a new purpose‑built Community Campus, to be completed in Summer 2026.
About the Role: We are looking for a creative and innovative individual who will apply their skills, knowledge and experience to support pupils to achieve success within our Business and Computing faculty. The successful candidate will bring new ideas and strategies appropriate to our learners and collaborate with a team of 65 teaching staff and 26 support staff.
Recruitment Process and Checks: As regulated work with children and/or protected adults, the preferred candidate will need to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. If you have spent a continuous period of 3 months or more abroad in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. Employment will be conditional upon satisfactory completion of these checks.
Salary & Conditions: Salary will be in accordance with the Scheme of Salaries and Conditions of Service for Teaching Staff in School Education.
