We are looking to recruit highly motivated and enthusiastic Social Workers to support our North East Locality Office within Assessment and Care Management Service. Edinburgh is an exciting city and offers excellent opportunities to contribute towards helping all our citizens flourish.
Edinburgh Health & Social Care Partnership is on a journey to transform the way in which Social Work delivers support and services. We focus on adults with multiple and complex needs, increasing levels of frailty, to live as independently as possible. We work effectively with our health colleagues and a broad range of partners to provide vulnerable residents with the right service in the right place at the right time. We prioritise shifting the balance of care and promoting early intervention and preventative supports.
We seek qualified Social Workers who are committed to making a real difference to people’s lives, who are energetic, imaginative, creative, resilient, trauma informed, relationships and strengths based. We adhere to the Social Care (Self-directed Support) (Scotland) Act 2013.
Responsibilities- Undertake a range of statutory tasks, including assessments, support planning, risk assessment, risk management and Carers’ assessments.
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team and support adults, their families and carers to balance risk and need with choice and rights.
- Provide advice, support, guidance and, if necessary, interventions for adults at risk of harm and in need of protection under the Adult Support and Protection (Scotland) Act 2007 or Adults with Incapacity (Scotland) Act 2000.
- Participate in regular supervision, training and team meetings.
Regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007; candidates must join the PVG Scheme or provide a PVG Scheme update check. If a candidate has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more outside the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check is required. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement is subject to satisfactory checks.
