The Council is seeking a confident, personable, and enthusiastic individual to join the Council's Land Survey Team. This team is responsible for surveying buildings and sites, taking detailed measurements and topographical data, and preparing plans from survey data. These plans are used for various purposes including sales, leases, servitudes, Compulsory Purchase Orders, committee reports, and valuations. The team also researches and establishes on-site the precise location of legal boundaries and assists in boundary disputes.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Educated to HND or equivalent in Topographic Studies or a property-related discipline.
  • Associate membership with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (or equivalent).
  • Significant relevant work experience.
  • Essential skills include good attention to detail, excellent technical, organisational, and communication skills.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in land surveying techniques, laser measuring devices, and theodolites.
  • Draftsmanship skills and extensive experience with CAD systems such as Microstation and AutoCAD.
  • Experience with GIS mapping systems, databases, and Microsoft Office applications.
