Salary: £26,806 – £27,032 (pro rata for part time and sessional).
Hours: 20 hours per week, 39 weeks sessional.
Working pattern: Wednesday & Thursday 8.00am – 4.15pm; Friday 8.00am – 1.30pm.
Location: Broughton High School, north of Edinburgh's city centre.
Responsibilities- Support the administrative tasks of a High School alongside the Health & Wellbeing faculty (Home Economics).
- Assist learning and teaching by setting up practical lessons with food and equipment.
- Manage stock control, ordering, resource preparation and the management of a food preparation room.
- Perform related duties that require high energy, good communication and planning skills.
- Registered, or eligible to be registered with, the General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS).
- Apply for the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007 scheme or update check.
- Provide Overseas Criminal Record Check if out of the UK for a continuous period of 3 months or more in the last 5 years.
- Good communication and planning skills, with a high level of energy.
