Pupil Support Worker (fixed term until 30/06/2028) at Drummond Community High School, Edinburgh.

Salary: £27,257 - £29,850 (pro‑rate part‑time and sessional)

Hours: 27.5 per week, 39 weeks sessional

Our pathways of support are designed to ensure that every young person develops their academic potential, talents, interests and abilities and we offer a wide range of opportunities across the curriculum from S1 to S6 to prepare learners for their future positive destination.

We are looking for 2 enthusiastic Pupil Support Workers to join our Support for Learning Team, to work one‑to‑one with a pupil.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide individual support to pupils to help them achieve their full potential.
  • Communicate effectively with pupils, teachers and parents.
  • Support appropriate pupil progress and maintain accurate records.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Relevant experience in the secondary sector is desired.
  • Good communication and commitment to supporting pupil progress.
  • Regulated work with children and protected adults: required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check.
  • If a continuous period of 3 months or more abroad in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check is required.
