Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Pupil Support department in partnership with other Pupil Support Leaders.
- Develop, implement and monitor effective pupil support policies and procedures across the school.
- Ensure the delivery of appropriate PSE/HWB courses to all levels of ability at all stages.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of theories and practices relating to effective support and inclusive classroom teaching.
- Implement practices that align with national priorities and the school’s focus on Children and Families.
- Undertake all duties required of teachers as set out in Annex B of ‘A Teaching Profession for the 21st Century’.
Pre‑Employment Checks
- Regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Candidate must join the PVG Scheme or complete a PVG Scheme update check.
- Anyone with continuous overseas residence of 3 months or more in the last 5 years must provide an Overseas Criminal Record Check.
- Any offer of employment and start date will be conditioned on satisfactory completion of these checks.
