Pupil Support Assistant – Tynecastle Learning Community (Craiglockhart and Stenhouse Primary Schools)
Salary: £25,905 – £26,111 (pro-rata for part-time & sessional)
Hours: various up to 27.5 per week, 39 weeks
Location: Edinburgh (Craiglockhart and Stenhouse Primary Schools)
Responsibilities
- Provide pupil support; may involve some personal care work and 1:1 support with a child.
- Previous experience working with children would be desirable.

- Craiglockhart Primary School – 25 hrs Permanent: Mon – Thurs 9.00 – 3.15, Fri 9.00 – 12.15
- Stenhouse Primary School – 27.5 hrs Permanent: Mon – Thurs 8.30 – 3.15, Fri 8.30 – 12.15
- Stenhouse Primary School – 20 hrs Fixed Term until 31/03/26: Mon – Thurs 9 – 1.15, Fri 9 – 12

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. If an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more outside the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to satisfactory outcome of these pre-employment checks.
