Salary: £26,806 - £27,032 (pro-rata for part‑time and sessional)
Hours: 27.25 per week, 39 weeks sessional
Working pattern: Monday to Thursday 8:40am to 3:20pm (with 45 minutes of unpaid breaks) and Friday 8:40am to 12:30pm (with a 15 minute unpaid break)
Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively as part of the support team.
- Support pupils with additional support needs to access education and have their care and wellbeing needs met.
- Provide flexible support and assistance in the day‑to‑day operation of the school, as directed by the school leadership team.
- Support children or young people with social, emotional and behavioural needs, including provision of support for dysregulated behaviour.
Requirements & Qualifications
- This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.
- Preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check.
- If an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more outside the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required; the candidate must provide this check before commencing employment.
- Unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to satisfactory outcomes of both pre‑employment checks.
