Craiglockhart Primary School is looking for an enthusiastic and caring individual to join our team as a Pupil Support Assistant. This post may involve personal care working and one‑to‑one support with a child. Previous experience working with children would be desirable.

Working hours: Monday – Thursday 9.00am – 3.15pm; Friday 9.00am – 12.15pm.

Responsibilities
  • Personal care working and one‑to‑one support with pupils.
Qualifications
  • This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.
  • The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check.
  • Where an individual has spent a continuous period of three months or more outside the UK in the last five years, an overseas criminal record check will be required.
  • The candidate must provide this check.
  • An unconditional offer of employment will be subject to the outcome of both these pre‑employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
