We are looking for an experienced Pupil Support Assistant to join our wonderful support staff team at Abbeyhill Primary School. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate significant experience and knowledge supporting pupils with autism in a mainstream primary and/or special school setting. Additionally, we are looking for someone who can bring vitality, flexibility, and a passion for helping our pupils develop and grow through planning and providing high quality learning experiences.
This role is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. These checks must be provided and deemed satisfactory for the offer of employment.
