Principal Teacher – fixed term until 13/08/2028. Juniper Green Primary School.
Salary: £57,498. Hours: 35 per week. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and enthusiastic teacher to join our Senior Leadership Team at Juniper Green. The successful applicant will work closely with the Head Teacher and Deputy Head Teacher. The Principal Teacher will oversee First level and have additional responsibilities linked to SFL, Wellbeing and GIRFEC.
Responsibilities- Work as part of the Senior Leadership Team to take forward the School Improvement Plan.
- Work within the Senior Leadership Team to facilitate improvements in attainment, achievement, attendance, and equalities/equity.
- Be a key part of the school’s Self‑Evaluation and Quality Assurance work.
- Oversee First level.
- Lead our digital strategy.
- Class Contact 0.56 equivalent per week.
Applicants should be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal, communication skills and share a passion for developing and ensuring the highest possible quality of learning across the school. They will be required to model high standards of pedagogy to inspire, motivate and support colleagues in the development of their own classroom practice. Applicants must be able to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. If an individual has spent a continuous period of three months or more out of the UK in the last five years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre‑employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
