An exciting opportunity has arisen for a temporary class Teacher to join St Margaret’s Roman Catholic Primary School. We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Primary Teacher to join our Catholic school community. The successful candidate will inspire and motivate pupils, delivering high‑quality teaching and learning experiences across the curriculum while supporting the faith life of the school.

Situated in South Queensferry, the school roll is just over 100 pupils, with 5 composite classes. The Senior Leadership Team includes a Head Teacher, Principal Teacher and Business Manager. The school may be small in size but is most definitely big in heart! We work tirelessly to live out our school values of Love, Respect and Kindness. We pride ourselves in being a supportive family and the staff team consistently keep the children at the centre of everything they do. We enjoy a successful partnership with our Parent Council and aim to be responsive to our learners' needs.

Teachers are responsible for seeking approval of the Bishop of a Diocese for appointment to any post in a Catholic School in that area. This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre‑employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
