Salary: £32,010 – £37,626

Hours: 36 per week, 52 weeks

We require a highly motivated Plumber to join our Housing Services team. The Council carries out approximately 140,000 repairs, safety checks, and maintenance to over 20,000 Council homes in Edinburgh each year. The emergency service provided to our customers operates 24/7, 365 days a year.

The Plumber is responsible, through the Team Coordinator, for delivering plumbing repairs and maintenance services to maintain the Council\’s Housing and Non-Housing property portfolio.

• You will be expected to carry out the duties of a competent Plumber, take instructions, and undertake work from all management levels.
• You must have satisfactorily completed a recognised apprenticeship in Plumbing to SVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• Possess a high level of health and safety awareness.
• Have working knowledge of relevant statutory regulations, standards, and codes of practice.
• Be a good communicator with strong customer care skills.
• Hold a full, clean driving licence (essential).

Our salary range reflects the starting salary with annual increments until reaching the top of the range.
