We are looking for plasterers to join our Housing Operations team. You will be part of a team of cross trade operatives who are responsible for carrying out repairs in Council tenant's homes and repairing and maintaining our empty homes to a high standard for our new tenants. The Housing Operations team manages over 20,000 homes across Edinburgh.
We are looking for a time served plasterer who has great customer care and communication skills and will thrive at the opportunity to help our tenants.
The role includes:
- The ability to undertake all types of plaster work to a high standard including traditional plaster finishes, renovating plaster finishes and dot/dab plasterboard application.
- The ability to work outdoors and at height.
- Proactive in identifying ways of improving service provision.
- High level of health and safety awareness.
- Current full UK driving licence.

- Relevant trade experience in the social housing environment.
- Experience in Maintenance and Previous local authority experience.

- Knowledge in the safe use of tools and equipment associated with the trade.

Personal Qualities:
- Good Communication Skills.
- Ability to work under own initiative.

- Willingness to accept direction/delegation.
Qualifications and Training:
- Recognised qualification and previous experience.
Job Specific Requirements:
- Current UK driving license.
- Ability to work at height.
- Ability to use a variety of hand or electric power tools.
- Participation in standby rota if required.
