An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Homelessness Mobile Warden position in The City of Edinburgh Council’s Temporary Accommodation Service. You will need significant experience of working in a role involving cleaning duties, manual handling tasks or supporting clients within a housing association, council or similar organisation.
Responsibilities:
- Clean and prepare Temporary Accommodation properties to a high standard, ensuring they are appropriately furnished and adequately stocked within a specified timescale.
- Communicate effectively with contractors and utility companies to carry out any necessary repair work.
- Put customers first, respect and understand their concerns and needs, and inspire confidence in your customers for the service you work for.
- Be sensitive and responsive to the needs of all customers, many of whom may experience significant challenges in their lives.

This post is regulated to work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. You will need to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. If you have spent continuously three months or more out of the UK in the last five years, you will need to provide an Overseas Criminal Record Check. Your unconditional offer will be conditional on satisfactory outcomes of both checks.
Qualifications:
Significant experience of working in cleaning, manual handling, or client support roles within a housing association, council or similar organisation.
