Early Years Practitioner – Fixed term until 28/08/2026

Salary: £30,188 – £34,452

Hours: 36 per week, 52 weeks per year

Shift patterns: 07.45 – 15.30 and 10.15 – 18.00

Overview

We are looking for an Early Years Practitioner to join our enthusiastic and committed early years team. You will work in the Early Years Hub (Terrific 2) where you will support and nurture children aged 2 to 3 years old. Our nursery is open 52 weeks per year and operates in shift patterns to provide excellent care from 8 am to 6 pm.

Responsibilities

  • Support and nurture 2–3 year olds within the Early Years Hub.
  • Collaborate with the team to provide high‑quality early years care.

Qualifications

  • HNC in Childcare and Education, SVQ Level 3, or Social Services (Children and Young People) SCQF Level 7.

Regulated Work

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. If you have spent a continuous period of 3 months or more outside the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the satisfactory outcome of these pre‑employment checks.
