Full‑time, permanent position for a Teacher of Mathematics to join our busy Mathematics faculty. This six‑year comprehensive school is located in the North West local zone of the City of Edinburgh Council. The catchment area includes Queensferry, Dalmeny, Echline and Kirkliston Primary Schools, as well as St Margaret’s RC Primary School at parent/carer request.
The school has a roll of over 1,200 students and is expanding. We have a strong ethos at Queensferry High School and are proud to create an atmosphere and learning environment which prepares young people with the knowledge and skills for a successful adult life. The school is firmly committed to raising attainment, promoting achievement and providing successful outcomes for all our young people.
This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. If an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more outside the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. These checks are part of the pre‑employment process and an unconditional offer will be contingent upon satisfactory outcomes.
Salaries will be in accordance with the Scheme of Salaries and Conditions of Service for Teaching Staff in School Education.
