We are looking for an inspiring Outdoor Instructor to join the City of Edinburgh Council's Benmore Outdoor Centre team.
Location: Benmore Outdoor Centre, Dunoon
Hourly rate: £21.15 per hour
Hours: 0 - casual/relief/supply
What You'll Be Doing:
- Plan and deliver adventurous activities with clear development opportunities and learning outcomes for every group.
- Take groups into the wild and inspiring landscapes of Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park.
- Use your skills, experience, and qualifications to tailor activities and venues to meet the needs of each group.
- Play an active role in developing both yourself and the centre's future.

Essential National Governing Body Qualifications:
- Summer Mountain Leader
- Rock Climbing Instructor
- British Canoeing Paddle Sport Instructor & Touring Leader or equivalents
- British Cycling Level 2 or equivalent (If you are short one of the above, we would still like to hear from you)
Desirable:
- RYA Dinghy Instructor
- RYA Powerboat Level 2
- D1 Minibus driving entitlement
- Gorge walking and Caving experience

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. An Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required if you have spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years. You will be required to provide this check.
