Join the City of Edinburgh Council as a Facilities Technician at Wester Hailes Healthy Living Centre. You will deliver essential janitorial services, maintenance, and routine cleaning across our estate, ensuring properties remain safe and welcoming.
Place: Wester Hailes Healthy Living Centre
Salary: £26,337 – £28,835 (pro rata for part time)
Hours: 17 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

Major Tasks / Job Activities:
- Day‑to‑day FM, janitorial and DIY operations across one or more buildings
- Small repairs and general maintenance
- Reactive cleaning, support moves, and basic security functions
- Equipment, furniture and fitting maintenance
- Building maintenance and services
- Security of premises and grounds
- Grounds maintenance
- Cleaning / Tidying
This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out of the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required.
