Pupil Support Assistant - fixed term until 31/12/2026

Niddrie Mill Primary School

Salary: £26,806 - £27,032 (pro-rata for part-time and sessional)

Hours: 27.5 per week, 39 weeks sessional

Working pattern for position is Monday to Thursday 8:30 to 15:00 and Friday 8:30 to 12:30

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team at Niddrie Mill Primary School as a Pupil Support Assistant. The post will involve supporting an individual pupil's needs while working as part of a larger team.

Niddrie Mill Primary School is organised into 14 classes from P1-7. We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and caring individual who is committed to supporting our young people to meet their full potential.

Niddrie Mill Primary School is situated in an area of multiple deprivation and receives Positive Action funding. We are committed to supporting all learners and their families in a respectful, caring and nurturing environment. The candidate should be dedicated to driving forward our positive ethos and be someone who can make decisions with confidence.

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
