Pupil Support Assistant – Wellbeing Hub - Fixed term until 18/12/2026

Salary: £26,806 - £27,032

Hours: 30 per week, 39 weeks sessional

Broughton High School is recruiting a Pupil Support Assistant (Wellbeing Hub) to support young people transition from primary school, build social and communication skills and support positive destinations. You will be positive, a good team player and will be committed to working with young people, especially those with additional support needs.

The post will involve building relationships of trust with children and their families. This role will be part of enhanced staffing within the Wellbeing Hub. The Hub is led by a Curriculum Leader. You will work alongside them and a Pupil Support Officer to support children with social, emotional and behaviour needs to thrive in their mainstream school. This is an exciting opportunity to build the capacity of our Pupil Support team.

We are seeking an excellent practitioner with experience working as part of a school team, ensuring the ongoing health, safety and welfare of pupils. Strong interpersonal skills to inspire and motivate others are important, alongside a commitment to championing the rights of all our young people.

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
