An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Homelessness Mobile Warden position in The City of Edinburgh Council’s Temporary Accommodation Service.
You will have significant experience of working in a role involving cleaning duties, manual handling tasks or supporting clients within a housing association, council or similar organisation. You will clean and prepare Temporary Accommodation properties to a high standard, ensuring it is appropriately furnished and adequately stocked within a specified timescale. You will communicate effectively with contractors and utility companies to carry out any necessary repair work.
You will put your customers first, respect and understand their concerns and needs when delivering services to them and inspire confidence and respect in your customers for you and the service you work for. You will be sensitive and responsive to the needs of all your customers, many of whom may experience significant challenges in their lives.
This post is regulated to work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of three months or more out with the UK in the last five years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required, and you will need to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
