Working pattern: Monday to Friday shifts between 7:45am and 6pm
Corstorphine Primary School is looking for an empathetic Early Years Assistant to join our established ELC team. The successful candidate will work collaboratively as a member of the early years team within all council early years provision, assisting in meeting the educational, care and welfare needs of all children ensuring those with additional support needs who are able to attend a mainstream provision can effectively access the curriculum.
Responsibilities include:
- Being flexible and assisting in carrying out general clerical duties as and when required in support of children’s learning.
- Providing support and assistance in the day-to-day operations of the School/Early Years Centre as directed by the Head Teacher/Head of Centre or nominated staff.
This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
