Hours: 36 per week, 52 weeks per year
Modern Apprenticeships (MAs) offer the chance of paid employment combined with the opportunity to do training relevant to the occupational area. They also include the opportunity to gain nationally recognised qualifications.
As a Contracts and Commissioning Modern Apprentice you will be required to assist in the provision of a range of support services for professional and office activities to achieve service targets and excellent quality customer care for our residents.
Trauma informed, relationships and strengths based social work is at the heart of our practice. We are looking for candidates who are energetic, agile, creative and kind, who can make the best use of local resources.
You will be required to do a Business Administration Modern Apprenticeship SCQF 6 qualification as part of this role
Eligibility
Applicants must have left secondary education in the past three years;
Or currently be on a City of Edinburgh Council employability training programme,
Or be aged up to 29 years of age with a disability and meet the other essential criteria
Or be Care Experienced (anyone who is currently in care or has been in care at any point in their life, for any length of time) and meet the other essential criteria
Applicants must have at least three National 4 or 5s
or equivalent qualifications in a relevant business-related subject areas. e.g. English, Maths, Business Studies, ICT or Communications.
And
Be willing to commit to working in the office environment (City of Edinburgh Council Headquarters) for 4 days a week from 9am to 5pm indicatively. One day work from home will be agreed with the preferred candidate

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
