Craigour Park Primary Nursery Class is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and skilled practitioner who is passionate about Early Years to contribute to the care and education of our children, supporting them to reach their full potential. Our vision is to promote a safe, secure and nurturing learning environment in which children become caring, responsible, enthusiastic and supportive individuals.

Working Pattern

Thursday 8am-4pm; Friday 8am-1pm (12.5 hours)

Responsibilities

  • Provide care and education for children aged 3-5 years in a safe, secure, and nurturing environment.
  • Support children to reach their full potential and foster caring, responsible, enthusiastic, and supportive attitudes.
  • Maintain the learning environment and large garden, ensuring suitability for playrooms and outdoor activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to promote continuous learning and share best practices.
  • Adhere to the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007 requirements, completing necessary pre‑employment checks.

Qualifications & Pre‑employment

  • Required qualifications as per attached documentation (e.g., Early Years Education qualifications).
  • Must join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check; recent overseas travel may require an Overseas Criminal Record Check.
  • Completion of all pre‑employment checks is mandatory for employment offer.
