Overview

Dean Park Primary School is a thriving non-denominational primary school serving the village of Balerno in the southwest of Edinburgh. The main school operates across two sites, with the nursery annexe in the village centre and the main campus in the Marchbank housing estate. The school includes 20 primary classes and a nursery with up to 88 full-time spaces. The service is seeking to recruit a skilled, knowledgeable, and creative Early Years Practitioner on a permanent basis.

Salary: £29,173 – £33,287 (pro-rata for part-time and sessional). Hours: 23.25 per week, 39 weeks. Working pattern: 08:00 – 16:15 on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. If an individual has spent continuous time outside the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. An unconditional offer of employment is subject to the satisfactory outcome of these pre-employment checks.
