The Role
We are seeking a skilled, motivated and enthusiastic Clerical Assistant to provide administrative support within our main school office as required. The post holder will be responsible for secretarial and clerical assistance for our school. The successful candidate will have experience of working in a busy office environment and be willing to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service. They will have excellent organisational and time management skills supported by relevant experience. They will have excellent interpersonal skills to ensure the smooth running of our school office.
While you will require a full PVG disclosure, this role is one of the supporting staff team and does not involve working directly with young people. The successful candidate will be expected to manage and operate various computerised systems and have sound knowledge and experience in this area. A working knowledge of SEEMIS and other school‑based systems would be an advantage as would the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Candidates will be expected to provide basic first aid and administer medication as appropriate. A suitable qualification in first aid or a willingness to undertake any necessary training is essential.
Working hours/flexibility
The working pattern for this post will be agreed between the successful candidate and the school, though must include a Monday and a Friday. The 30 hours could be worked over 4 or 5 days. Please note that we require a set working pattern to be agreed, though we are flexible about how this looks.
