Salary: £26,806 - £27,032 (pro‑rata for part‑time and sessional)
Hours: 19 hours per week, 40 weeks sessional. Working pattern: Monday 8:00‑16:00, Tuesday 8:00‑16:00 (45‑minute break), Friday 8:00‑12:45 (15‑minute break). One additional week during summer holidays.
Location: Currie Community High School, located south‑west of the City of Edinburgh.
Responsibilities
- Perform administrative and reception tasks in the school office.
- Operate various computerised systems and maintain accurate records.
- Organise and manage scheduling and correspondence.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with care.
- Support school staff and visitors, providing a friendly, efficient front‑desk service.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience or sound knowledge of computerised office systems.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills, ability to meet deadlines and show initiative.
- Positive and flexible attitude, capable of working within a team and with independent responsibility.
- Knowledge of local government regulations may be an advantage.
Regulated work: The position requires a Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007 clearance. Successful candidate must join the PVG scheme or undergo an update check. Applicants who have spent a continuous period of 3+ months outside the UK in the last 5 years must provide an overseas criminal record check.
