Salary: £26,205 – £26,525 (pro‑rata for part‑time and sessional)

Hours: 10 per week for 40 weeks sessional

Working pattern: Monday‑Friday, 6:00–8:00

Responsibilities

  • Empty litter and recycling bins.
  • Clean all surfaces, internal glass, floors, furniture, fixtures and fittings within a group of buildings.
  • Clean all sanitary areas, toilets and showers and replenish washroom consumables.
  • Carry out emergency and reactive cleaning as required (e.g. removal of graffiti, body fluid spillages, accidental spillages).
  • Maintain the care and cleanliness of all equipment used in carrying out the above duties.
  • Perform other tasks reasonably related to the role, including supporting cleaning tasks across other buildings where required.
  • Deliver to cleaning specification requirements and cooperate with performance measurement so that the overall agreed standards are met.

Key‑Holding Duties

  • Key holding to enable opening and closing of buildings including operation of security alarm systems, closing accessible windows and doors, switching off lights and ensuring premises are left safe and secure when closing.

Pre‑Employment Checks

All applicants must join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Applicants who have spent a continuous period of 3 months or more outside the UK in the last 5 years must provide an overseas criminal record check. Employment is conditional on satisfactory outcome of both checks.
