Hours: 5 per week, 38 weeks sessional Monday – Friday 7.50am – 8.50am
Dean Park Primary serves the village of Balerno in south‑west Edinburgh. The school operates across two sites: a main campus within the Deanpark/Marchbank housing estates and a nursery annexe in the heart of the village. We currently have 504 primary pupils and 88 full‑time nursery places, and the main campus is expanding with six new classrooms due for completion this year.
Position Overview
Dean Park’s Breakfast Club offers a safe, warm and welcoming environment where pupils can enjoy a healthy breakfast and socialise before school. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the Breakfast Club Team and support the safe delivery of our large breakfast club provision. Experience in working with children is desirable but not essential.

Qualifications and Requirements
- Experience working with children is desirable but not essential.
- Regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.
- Preferred candidates must join the PVG Scheme or undergo an update check, and provide an overseas criminal record check if they have spent a continuous period of 3 months or more abroad in the last 5 years.
- An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post are subject to the outcome of these pre‑employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
