About the Role

Based in our Sixth Form, the 14-19 Coordinator is part of a strong team focussed on supporting young people’s study and career aspirations. Working on the transition to Key Stage 5, the post requires linking with partner schools and communicating subject offers, ensuring students choose the right pathways and are inducted successfully into courses. The role will work closely with teaching staff and academic managers to manage curriculum issues and student interventions, where required. The role will also coordinate participation in external careers events and activities, and support the organisation of work experience. The post holder will work Thursday and Friday (total 14 hours) per week, over 40 weeks during term time. This makes the role ideal for anyone seeking to combine work with family or caring responsibilities, or further study.

Applicants will have experience of working effectively with students, staff and parents, and be able to build positive and trusted relationships at all levels. High quality administrative, ICT and organisational skills are required; the ability to manage time, tasks and outcomes efficiently, and successfully juggle multiple priorities and deadlines. They will also have the ability to communicate effectively with internal customers and a wide range of external institutions and agencies. Attention to detail and problem solving will be key assets. Teamwork will be demonstrated in a flexible and professional approach.
