This role will primarily support City Academy Bristol, with additional support provided to the Institute and City School HQ, which are located on the same campus/road.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong technical knowledge, a problem-solving mindset, and a passion for supporting education through technology to make a real impact. Under the guidance of senior staff, this ICT Technician role provides high-quality IT support across City Academy Bristol and the wider campus. You will play a key role in maintaining and developing IT systems, supporting staff and students with technical issues, and contributing to the effective delivery of ICT services.
About you:
- Good literacy and numeracy skills, including GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent), and a relevant IT qualification (Level 3 or above or equivalent experience).
- Experience working within an IT support environment and delivering technical support to users.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly to non-technical users.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied workload, meeting deadlines and responding to ad hoc requests.
- The ability to build positive working relationships with staff, students, and external stakeholders.
- A strong commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion.
