About the Team & Business Line

Alternative Asset Fund Administration is Citco’s core business, and our Private Equity (“PE”) division is a major part of that. Citco has one of the largest footprints of staff in Ireland within the Private Equity Administration sector. Our continuous investment in learning, which includes Private Equity specific personal development training programs for multiple staff levels, and technology solutions means our people are equipped to deliver a seamless client experience. Our largest investment, however, is in our people and as a core member of our Private Equity Fund Accounting group, you will be working in a team with some of the industry’s most accomplished professionals. Furthermore, this team delivers award-winning services to a roster of some of the largest, most recognised, bluechip clients in the Private Equity industry. This role represents a unique opportunity to work directly within a rapidly expanding global PE investment manager’s fund finance team. The role will support the existing fund finance team, interfacing with Citco servicing teams in relation to fund reporting requirements on existing and recently launched products. The role also offers the opportunity to gain exposure on a variety of fund finance operational workstreams that are part of a fund finance role in a global PE investment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the day-to-day accounting, reporting and operations for various PE funds, including:
    • Manage and monitor deliverables (SLAs) with Citco and client teams
    • Manage and review quarterly financial and investor reporting outputs
    • Manage capital activity processing (calls/distributions/transfers)
    • Review/prepare management fee & waterfall/carry calculations
    • Oversee production of year end accounts and/or financial statements for complex PE structures, under US GAAP
    • Assist with the review of investor allocations and partners’ capital account statements
    • Assist with production and review of regulatory and shareholder reports
    • Help with treasury management functions, including monitoring fund cash positions, and preparing cash projections
    • Liaise with tax teams and advisors on fund-level tax filings, FATCA/CRS compliance, and investor tax reporting (e.g., K-1s if relevant)
    • Develop into a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on PE client structures and PE accounting processes
    • Engage in and drive certain finance team and/or fund specific projects
    • Regularly engage with Citco and client teams on individual and team goals
    • Communicate regularly with Citco and client teams, and help maintain great relationships
    • Review client Limited Partnership Agreements (LPAs), PPMs, and other materials
    • Act as liaison to various internal/external stakeholders
    • Work with onboarding solutions teams and client teams to implement new fund structures on accounting system, whilst also identifying and implementing more streamlined and efficient processes

Qualifications

  • You have 5+ years’ experience in accounting operations or practice
  • You have 3+ years’ experience in Private Equity (Desirable)
  • You are a strong team player who exhibits strong communication and written skills
  • You have the ability to handle several deliverables and different stakeholders simultaneously, and prioritise work based on deadlines
  • You have strong communication and relationship skills
  • You must have strong knowledge of the financial services industry, its products and practices, and a strong interest in further development and learning
  • You have proven Fund Accounting system, Microsoft Word and Excel, and PowerPoint skills
  • You are degree qualified (2.1 and above) in Finance or Accounting related degree (desirable)
