Responsibilities

About the Team & Business Line

Citco Custody (UK) Limited (CCUK) provides depositary and custody services to Citco Funds Services clients with over $45bn in net assets.

Operating in strategic global centers, Citco Fund Services provides clients with access to best of breed processes and technology of which CCUK plays an important role.

As a core member of our Depositary management team, you will work closely with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams to minimize operational risks and ensure our clients experience a seamless delivery of all elements of our depositary and custody services.

Your Role

  • Establish and maintain appropriate control environment to ensure the CCUK fulfils its depositary obligations to the highest standards in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ensure full compliance with all applicable policies and procedures, maintaining consistent adherence to global procedures across the depositary business.
  • Maintain comprehensive oversight of all Depositary related tasks across clients and teams.
  • Manage Depositary team performing review and sign-offs on all Depositary related work including NAV reviews, cash flow monitoring, safekeeping of assets and investment compliance reviews.
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure error/breaches are recorded and resolved in a timely manner, as well as ensure prompt escalation to management of any issues.

  • Lead in on-site inspections of AIFM, administrators and ongoing due diligence of sub-custodians
  • Assist with compilation of material for SOC testing, on-site reviews and annual audit.
  • Work closely with Internal Audit, Operational Control Management & Group Risk to identify, manage and mitigate risk associated with the provisions of depositary services.
  • Interact with Group Compliance in relation to queries and the delivery of the compliance monitoring plan.
  • Provide KPI & KRI reporting to Senior management, Risk Management and Operational Control.
  • Assist with training, development and motivation of the team to ensure a positive working environment.
  • Participate in key projects to ensure the continued development and evolution of the business.

Qualifications

About You

  • Third level business / finance qualification and a minimum of 8 years’ depositary experience within fund industry.
  • Previous experience of working in the Hedge Fund / Private Equity, Real Estate Alternative Fund Industry.
  • Strong team management experience with commitment to delivering outstanding client service.
  • Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal effectiveness.
  • Strong written and spoken English.
