Senior Product Designer
Location: Hybrid – Wilmslow and WFH
Overview
We\’re seeking an experienced Senior Product Designer to help define the future of our growing B2B SaaS platforms across Health & Safety, HR, and Compliance. You’ll bring clarity to complexity, raise the bar for quality, and support the personal and professional growth of our design team.
As our most senior hands-on designer, you\’ll shape meaningful product experiences while also nurturing team craft, guiding design rituals, and improving design operations. You’ll work closely with product managers, engineers, and researchers – blending leadership with end-to-end execution.
What You’ll Do
Product Design
- Lead design across key strategic initiatives from discovery through delivery.
- Translate complex business workflows into elegant, user-focused experiences – with a mobile-first mindset where it matters most.
- Own and evolve interaction design, information architecture, and visual design.
- Run collaborative workshops to align stakeholders across product and engineering.
Design Leadership
- Act as a mentor, coach, and role model to designers across the team.
- Facilitate weekly design critiques and 1:1s to strengthen quality and consistency.
- Champion design thinking to guide how we prioritise, experiment, and build.
Design Operations & Systems
- Partner with the Group Product Director to evolve our cross-platform design system.
- Improve design QA, cross-functional collaboration, and handoff workflows.
- Help scale and streamline our design processes with tooling, tokens, and systems.
Research & Validation
- Collaborate with UX researchers to define problems and validate solutions.
- Translate insights into meaningful product improvements.
- Foster a culture of evidence-based decision-making.
What You’ll Bring
- 5+ years of product design experience, with at least 1–2 years in a senior role.
- Proven ability to lead and deliver complex initiatives end-to-end.
- Excellent UX and UI skills with a clear, user-centred rationale.
- A mobile-first approach to design, with sensitivity to real-world usage patterns across devices and contexts.
- A track record of mentoring designers and influencing team culture.
- Systems thinking: able to zoom out to shape design standards and zoom in on execution.
- Strong communication skills, especially when working with non-design stakeholders.
- Proficiency with Figma, Jira, and working within design systems.
