Deputy Director of Safeguarding
We are seeking an exceptional Deputy Director of Safeguarding to support the Director of Safeguarding in delivering outstanding safeguarding, pastoral care and pupil support across our family of schools.
This influential trust-wide role will champion safeguarding at every level, ensuring our schools maintain the highest standards of child protection, welfare and compliance. Working closely with Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs), Senior Leaders and Trustees, you will help embed a strong safeguarding culture where every child feels safe, valued and able to thrive.
As the Trust’s Deputy Safeguarding expert, you will stay abreast of national and local developments, provide advice on complex safeguarding and child protection matters, support the development of safeguarding strategy, oversee policy and procedural compliance, and contribute to quality assurance activities including safeguarding audits, Single Central Record reviews and safeguarding record scrutiny.
You will also play a key role in delivering and evaluating safeguarding training, supporting the effective use of systems such as CPOMS, filtering and monitoring software and ensuring safeguarding practice across the Trust remains proactive, robust and child-centred.
