This is a trust-wide post across The Circle Trust's family of schools, supporting the Director of Safeguarding. The core of the work is advising on complex child protection cases, shaping safeguarding strategy and overseeing policy and procedural compliance. Quality assurance covers audits, Single Central Record reviews and record scrutiny, alongside delivering and evaluating training. The role works with Designated Safeguarding Leads, senior leaders and trustees, and supports CPOMS and filtering and monitoring systems.
What the job involves
- Support the Director of Safeguarding in delivering safeguarding, pastoral care and pupil support across the trust
- Champion safeguarding at every level and help embed a strong safeguarding culture
- Work with Designated Safeguarding Leads, senior leaders and trustees
- Advise on complex safeguarding and child protection matters
- Keep up to date with national and local safeguarding developments
- Support the development of safeguarding strategy
- Oversee safeguarding policy and procedural compliance
- Contribute to quality assurance, including safeguarding audits, Single Central Record reviews and record scrutiny
- Deliver and evaluate safeguarding training
- Support the effective use of CPOMS and filtering and monitoring software
- Ensure safeguarding practice across the trust is proactive, robust and child-centred
