Oakley Grange is a luxurious residential and dementia care home based in Warwick offering state-of-the-art facilities, which include 66 large en-suite bedrooms and 5 luxury care suites. The home also features luxurious lounges and dining rooms, an on-site café bar, a cinema and a professional hair and beauty salon.
We require a part-time experienced gardener and maintenance assistant. You will provide assistance with general maintenance duties for the home and ensure that the grounds look both welcoming and well-kept throughout the year.
Main Responsibilities:
Generally, tidy up the garden areas, mowing any grass areas as needed, keeping any outside signs free from leaves, roses etc.
Soil cultivation, digging, forking, mulching, watering, raking, weeding, edging, pruning, bed preparation and planting.
Keep any shed, outbuildings and areas in which waste is stored in a clean and tidy condition
Clear snow and grit paths, driveways and any areas to which residents, visitors or staff members have access
Tend to any flower beds, hanging baskets etc.
Clean signs and lighting outside the home.
The use of mowers, strimmer’s and leaf blowers
Assist with the day to day maintenance of the home including any faults or repairs which may need to be corrected within your capability and company guidelines.
Assist with any weekly, monthly and annual checks as per the maintenance schedule
Ensure that both the home and grounds are kept to the agreed maintenance standards carrying out numerous gardening duties, requiring a minimum amount of supervision
Appropriate experience and relevant qualifications in garden maintenance, minor electrical, plumbing, joinery work understanding of central heating systems would be advantageous.
