Earlsfield Court is a stunning 72 bedded luxurious residential and dementia care home providing the very best in care and support.

Role

The main function of this role is to support and assist the Maintenance Manager in maintaining all areas within the home on a daily basis. The Maintenance Assistant\’s primary responsibility is to maintain a safe and comfortable environment for the residents. This person is a hands-on team player with sound organisational skills. The Maintenance Assistant interacts positively with all team members, maintaining census by immediately preparing vacant rooms for new residents, and by responding to and resolving concerns promptly.

You will need to reliable and hard working in this role – flexible in required working hours is essential and may include some weekend working.

Ideally experience in general maintenance, plumbing, painting and decorating, carpentry would be beneficial.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Assist in the day-to-day maintenance of the home including any faults or repairs which may need to be corrected within your capability and company guidelines.
  2. Give support to all heads of departments in looking at areas that may need altering or improving and perform all preventative maintenance tasks to the best of your ability.
  3. Ensure that the home is kept to the agreed maintenance standards.
  4. Respond in a timely manner to all maintenance requests and concerns raised by residents, family members and team members according to the homes reporting maintenance request log or system.
  5. Take receipt of deliveries and store items or good pertaining to maintenance.
  6. Ensure that all allocated machinery is kept safe and in working order
